Ayr Flower Show
Ayr Flower Show is Scotland's answer to the Chelsea Flower show and since 1960 has been delighting and captivating visitors to the town as well as being a red letter weekend in the local calendar.

Saturday 7th - 8th August
Orchid enthusiasts and keen gardeners will be heading for Scone as the Palace hosts its annual Orchid Festival. The festival will include displays by some of the UK’s most prestigious orchid nurseries and suppliers, and plants will be available for purchase during the weekend. As well as enjoying the stunning displays, visitors will be able to listen to talks by experts on the art of orchid growing each day.
The Festival of Orchids will take place from 9.30am – 5pm each day.

Sunday 8th - 15th of August
National Allotment Week. The aim is to promote awareness and availability of allotments by asking site holders to get involved by opening their fields to the public, arranging school visits and displaying their produce. The National Allotment's Garden Trust (NAGTrust) wants to promote the social benefits of allotment gardening - health, education and community.
